    The weather is ideal for exploring Carnarvon on foot.  There are 3 dedicated trails:-  1) The Old Tramway Walk Trail is 2.5km trail taking the path the old tramway use to go and shows off the flora and fauna of the area.  2) The Mangrove Board Walk is 400m and meanders into the mangroves to the Gascoyne River Mouth.  3) The Fascine walk is Carnarvons unique word for the waterfront

  • Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage Museum
    Built in 1897 and used until the late 1970's, this local icon was opened as a museum in 1988 so the world can see and appreciate its heritage value.

  • The One Mile Jetty (currently closed to the public)
    Located on the Carnarvon Heritage Precinct WA walk, this historic jetty is home to rivermouth views, mangroves, marine life and great fishing.

  • Jetty Interpretive Centre
    Photographic displays and museum artefacts from throughout the 20th century

  • Gwoonwardu Mia - Aboriginal Cultural Centre
